May 1, 2018 Webinar - Bringing Back the Natives Garden Tour

Date: May 1st, 2018

Time: 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm Pacific Time

Presenter: Kathy Kramer, Kathy Kramer Consulting, CA, USA.

Overview: Join this webinar, which kicks off ISAM 2018, if you are interested in planting a native plant garden or want to learn how to inspire gardeners to transform their own landscapes to easy-to-care-for, water-conserving, beautiful native plant gardens that attract birds, bees, and butterflies. Kathy Kramer founded and coordinates the Bringing Back the Garden Natives Tour, which will take place in the San Francisco Bay area on Sunday, May 5. This award-winning tour features thirty-seven Alameda and Contra Costa county gardens that are pesticide-free, water conserving, provide habitat for wildlife, and contain 60% or more native plants.  This year the theme is “Art and Music in the Gardens.”  Between 2,000 and 5,000 people attend this annual event, now in its fourteenth year - join this webinar to see what attracts them!

Bio: Over the past thirty years Kathy Kramer has developed a number of programs that educate the general public and teachers about environmental issues. Most recently, Ms. Kramer developed and runs the Bringing Back the Natives Garden Tour, which you'll hear about in this webinar. The programs developed under Ms. Kramer’s leadership have received local, state, and national awards in the United States, including the California Governor’s Environmental and Economic Leadership Award, the National Wetlands Award for Education/Outreach; and the National Wildlife Federation's Education and Outreach Award.
