Overview: Join this webinar to learn about the Canadian Food Inspection Agency's regulations on firewood, why they are needed and what is being done to educate members of the public about the risks involved in moving firewood.

Presenter Bio: Naima has been working with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency since 2005.  She has worked in various plant health-related positions including: Forest Pest Emergencies - leading the development of response programs and policies for the management of the Emerald Ash Borer and Asian Long-horned Beetle. She later joined the Invasive alien species section- where she worked on the CFIA’s initial don’t move firewood campaign and plant health import policies to prevent the entry, establishment and spread of regulated plant pests.  She currently works as a foreign legislation officer responsible for the interpretation of foreign legislation to support the market access and certification of Canadian forest products to other countries.
